New pictures, new blog

A new blog, all for Lucy! And considering the ridiculous amount of pictures we've been taking of her, it's probably a good thing. Here are a few fairly new pictures to start with (I've also included the first posts from the other blog).

Stretching...

Stripes!

Next to the birthday cake we bought her on her due date!

Just some close-up shots.

We'll keep posting more as we take them!
Shauna was released from the hospital today and is doing well. She wants me to thank everyone who has helped out so much these last few days. There's no way we'd have our heads above water right now without all of you.

Lucy is doing really, really well. She's still positively miniature, but, she's taking her feedings well and the doctor expects her to start putting on all kinds of weight.

Anyway, here are your pictures...Robin.

Here are a few more pics we took of the baby today. I actually got to hold her for a little while!

You can click on any of the images to view a full-sized version.

I think I'm going to create a seperate blog just for baby/family stuff and transfer these over there. Until then, this is easy...

Hey guys!

I promised to put a few pics of Lucy up today, so, here they are.

Her official name is Lucy Elizabeth Howell (sorry Brynn, we swiped your middle name!). She was born June 15, 2007, at 6:27 PM. She weighs 3 pounds 9 ounces (yeah, she’s tiny!), and measured about 16 and 1/2 inches long (pretty tall for a 34 weeker).

She has dark brown, almost black hair and her hands and feet are really long. She’s a dang good lookin’ kid, if ya’all don’t mind me sayin so!

This her at about 25 minutes old. I believe they had her hooked up to every device in the place. They quickly realized that she could breathe on her own, though, and they've since removed most of it. The doctors and nurses in the NICU say she's doing better than they could have hoped.

That's not a splint, just something to keep her from ripping her IV out. She's really active and likes to tug on everything.

That's Shauna's hand. It lends a little scale, I think. She's got such a cute profile...clearly didn't get that from me!

Lucy...

Anyway, I'll post more soon.
